My husband and I had the best wedding gift ever! Due to a limited budget, we opted to go for a DIY and simple wedding celebration. It was exhausting but completely worth it. We are practical people and it just fitted our personality -- (being barat) thrifty!
Imagine our surprise when our ninong offered to give us a free honeymoon trip to Balesin! Woohoo! Truth be told, we were slightly excited to go to Balesin than our wedding. (Just kidding!)

We've arrived after a 20 minute flight. We were greeted with sampaguita leis
and a cool glass of buko juice.
This was our first experience in a private plane though we had traveled in an ATR like for flights to Coron and Naga. But this plane was smaller than the ATRs.
Balesin also has a short runway and can only accommodate smaller planes. Upon approach the plane will go low that you can see the beach and in the other end of the runway is more water.
First, we registered in the Balesin Island Club concierge.
While waiting for our luggage, we're taking more pictures. This is in front of the clubhouse. They are more pools here than the rest of the villages. The beach looks fabulous.
Mykonos Village is our favorite. We spent more time there than in other villages.

You'll love the white sand beach. The best spots are in front of the clubhouse and the Balesin Spa.
It was hard to leave this amazing place but we had a great time exploring this beautiful island.
